Using Rent-A-Center's ePay System

What is ePay?

Rent-A-Center’s ePay online payment system is a convenient feature you can use to make your rental payments online in the comfort of your own home!

All you need to make a payment online is:

  • an active rental agreement of club agreement with a Rent-A-Center store.
  • a valid email address on file with the store (check with store associate to see if your email address is current on your account.)
  • a credit card or pinless debit card.

Using ePay

The ePay system was designed with ease of use in mind. To help get you started, we’ve outlined some steps to help you learn how to use ePay.

See below to find out how to set up an account and make a payment using ePay.

Setting Up Your ePay Account

  1. Click Pay Online in the upper right corner of the screen.
  2. Click the Create Account button.
  3. Select the First Name text box.
  4. Enter your first name into the First Name text box.
  5. Select the Last Name text box.
  6. Enter your last name into the Last Name text box.
  7. Select the Email Address text box.
  8. Enter your email address in the Email Address field. It’s very important that you use the same address that you gave to the store when you set up your rental agreement.
  9. Select the Verify Email Address text box.
  10. Re-enter your email address into the Verify Email Address text box.
  11. Select the User Name text box.
  12. Enter a User Name. Pick something that you will remember easily. It can be any combination of letters and numbers.
  13. Select the Password text box.
  14. Enter a password in the Password field. Your password must be at least seven characters, with at least one capital letter, one lower-case letter, and one number.
  15. Select the Verify Password text box.
  16. Enter the same password in the Verify Password field.
  17. Select the Password Question drop down menu.
  18. Pick a question from the Password Question list. Make sure it’s something that will be easy to remember. You’ll need to answer the password question if you want to reset your password online.
  19. Select the Password Answer text box.
  20. Enter the answer to the password question in the Password Answer field. The answer is case-sensitive – in other words, if you use a capital letter in the answer, you will have to use the same capital letter if you need to answer the password question online.
  21. Select the Submit Registration button.
  22. If you entered everything correctly, you’ll see the Confirmation screen.
  23. Go back to the Logon screen to access your account.
  24. Congratulations! You’ve successfully created an ePay account!

Making a Payment

  1. Access www.rentacenter.com and click Pay Online in the upper right corner.
  2. In the Rent-A-Center Secure Logon screen, enter your User Name and Password, then click the Sign In button.
  3. Select the Set Up Payment Account for Agreements/Club Membership link.
  4. Enter your Agreement number or Club Membership number in the *Agreements/Club Membership #: text box.
  5. Click the Set Up Account button.
  6. Click the Pay All For This Store button.
  7. Click the Make a Payment button.
  8. Verify your personal information is correct then click the Continue button. Note: The information on this screen must match your credit card billing address. Make sure this is correct before you click continue.
  9. Select the Credit Card Number text box.
  10. Enter your credit card number in the Credit Card Number field.
  11. Click the Expiration Month drop down arrow.
  12. Select the Expiration Month listed on your credit card.
  13. Select the Verification Number text box.
  14. Enter the Verification Number on your credit card then click the Submit button.
  15. Access your email and check for a confirmation message from Rent-A-Center.
  16. Open the confirmation email you received from Rent-A-Center.
  17. Congratulations! You successfully made a payment using the ePay system!
